Team and Culture

Organizations, like leaders, have an essence and purpose — that, like leaders, require conscious effort and skillful design to actualize.

Aligned, high-performing teams are the bedrock upon which an organization’s success is built. Yet the longer leaders postpone “people problems,” the harder it is to create the conditions for success. I’ve seen myriads of extraordinary product teams self-sabotage, ossify, or die due to unwise team and cultural choices. Unfortunately, conventional management practices tend to undermine the life-force and well-being of an organization. We know better, though we often struggle to do better.

That’s where I love to come in — to help your organization do better.

As a facilitator, consultant, and advisor, I bring a seasoned, outside-in lens to level up the human dimensions of your organization. I weave together on-the-ground experience honed in startup trenches and billion-dollar boardrooms, with leading management and culture practices pioneered during my PhD researching organizational behavior at Stanford’s Graduate School of Business. I infuse this wisdom with deep listening, safety building, and heart-felt care — from which trust, cohesion, and evolution occur. The lens of diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging is embedded in all that I do.

Each engagement is adapted to each client’s needs, developed in partnership. For complex or larger engagements, I have a network of extraordinary practitioners globally who I bring together to form a “dream team” to address your unique challenges.

I outline my core services below.

“Moshe is a world-class expert on all things people. Moshe was critical in helping us navigate the froth of web3 to get down to issues of substance and strategy. Moshe was an excellent partner in developing our vision and core values, and in building, tracking, and reinforcing an impact-oriented culture.

Moshe’s facilitation at our two offsites brought heart and wisdom alongside grounded practicality, creating a space for real breakthroughs. We came back more focused, more unified, and more connected.”

Culture, Team Building, & Offsites
How we do (re)align around and actualize our aspirations?

Culture expresses the essence of your organization.  A strong culture is embodied in your behaviors, processes, and mindsets, reinforcing a shared mindset and context for creation.  Create cohesive cultures rich in skillful feedback and oriented towards people development is my specialty. Work here includes high-impact team offsites and co-design of culture-building processes/metrics.

Mission, Vision, & Values
Why are we here?

Sustaining a high-performing organization starts with knowing who you are and the impact you seek to create in the world.  I facilitate structured conversations that cohere around the aspirational and then translate to the concrete.

Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging (DEIB)

How do we work together to win together?

Your organization can't truly thrive unless every team member is thriving. More diverse companies are consistently shown to outperform and out-innovate. Yet realizing the synergies of diversity requires a culture of deep belonging and psychological safety, where trust-building, open dialogue, and even healing can take place. DEIB is embedded in all the work I do, including 1:1 coaching and offsites. I also design coaching circles and workshops customized to a client’s unique DEIB needs.

“Working with Moshe means partnering with someone who will embed with you to help you and your organization not just work towards your goals, but to better understand the "why" along the way. You are left with a feeling of time well spent, and with professional grade reports and working sessions that crystallize the situation and help you move forward.

I have seen Moshe facilitate a room of brilliant disruptors to a place of mutual understanding that permanently improved the team dynamic; get people who traditionally shut down or silent to constructively speak their minds; challenge long standing organizational norms and live to tell about it.

In the end, org development work is really hard. You need to get past the superficial while navigating the sensitive in a way that has the team come out the other side feeling tighter. while feeling seen and heard. I've seen Moshe do exactly that, in multiple situations, virtual and in person, with leadership and entire teams. I highly recommend Moshe and know I will work with them in the future.”
